Choosing a Career or Program

How do I choose a career or program?

Many students find the career exploration process helpful. This process encourages individuals first to understand themselves, and to have a wide view of their options in the world of work. Next comes gathering information to narrow down choices and choosing a professional direction. Read more about the career planning process.

How can ACR help me choose a career or program?

  • Current and prospective students may meet with an advisor (available at each campus) for assistance with career exploration. Contact us to schedule an appointment.
  • At the Truax campus, career planning workshops are offered every week for current and prospective students. View the schedule and contact us if you would like to register for a workshop.
  • Students are welcome to borrow our career videos, DVDs, books, and other resources to assist you with choosing a career direction.
