Advanced Standing

MATC, in partnership with high schools, offers students the opportunity to acquire advanced standing through articulation agreements. Articulation is the process linking high school courses and MATC courses so students can gain tuition-free credit and advanced standing for taking a technical college program equivalent course at their high school. Secondary students who enroll in articulated courses receive credit from their high school and are eligible for advanced and course credit at MATC when they: complete the required course(s) at their high school; earn a B or better and/or meet other criteria as outlined in the agreement; and enroll in a program at MATC.
High School students should contact their counselors or School-to-Career Coordinators for further details. See charts in the back of this catalog for courses currently aligned with area high schools.
