Educators
Tech Prep provides opportunities for secondary educators to build connectiosn between what they are teaching with the real world, and to better understand the skills that will be required of students as they transition into post-secondary options and the working world.
- Career Pathways - These events are held throughout the year for different career paths, and provide opportunities for secondary and postsecondary faculty to collaborate in order to build connections between secondary and postsecondary programs. The agenda for these events include meeting with secondary and postsecondary faculty, discussions about the needs of the secondary faculty, an intro to Career Pathways, and talks about what educators what to accomplish together. Counselors
Tech Prep provides opportunities for counselors to connect with the college in a variety of ways:
- Comprehensive School Counselor Training (Level I)
This 4-day training focuses on the foundation of the new DPI model including the development of a district manual, abstract and student/parent conferences. View the flyer and registration form. Dates:

- Thursday, March 13 (MATC - Downtown Campus))

- Comprehensive School Counselor Training (Level II)
This 4-day training includes development of a comprehensive curricular plan including student content standards, scope and sequence, curriculum maps, and unit development. View the flyer and registration form. Dates:

- Friday, April 11 (Portage)
- Thursday, April 24 (Madison)
- Career Development Facilitator Training
This two-day training is for those who are interested in learning more skills and resources for working with students on career development issues. Dates:
- January 10, 2008 (Portage)
- March 4, 2008 (tentative) (Portage)
