1. Adhere to professional standards of practice within legal, ethical, and regulatory frameworks of the licensed practical nurse.
2. Use effective communication skills.
3. Assist with health assessment of individuals, families, and groups.
4. Participate in clinical decision-making within the LPN scope of practice.
5. Provide safe caring interventions with diverse populations.
6. Use principles of teaching and learning processes to reinforce teaching plans.
7. Work cooperatively with others to provide holistic care.
8. Under supervision, manage and direct care within and across health care settings according to established protocols.
