3. Adhere to security, privacy and confidentiality policies.
4. Use computers to process information.

7. Model professional behaviors, ethics, and appearance.

Advanced Medical Coding Specialist (One-Year Technical Diploma), 31-530-1

Graduates of this program will be able to:

1. Assign diagnostic and procedure codes using ICD coding system.
2. Assign procedure codes using HCPCS/CPT coding system.
3. Adhere to security, privacy, and confidentiality policies.
4. Use computers to process information.
5. Support data collection and reimbursement system.
6. Communicate in a professional manner.
7. Model professional behaviors, ethics, and appearance.
8. Prepare for national coding certification.
9. Apply skills used in effective management of coding services.
