IT-Network Specialist, 10-150-2
Throughout the CIS Network Specialist program, students acquire various skills that prepare them for a variety of entry-level networking positions.
A student who successfully completes the coursework and graduates from the program will be able to:
- Build, test and troubleshoot network media (wireless, copper).
- Configure, maintain & troubleshoot routing protocols between routers.
- Control network access using firewalls and ACL’s.
- Create and manage a network environment with network operating system commands and a variety of troubleshooting tools. (Windows, Linux)
- Manage a network environment using debugging tools or scripting.
- Establish network connectivity (switches, VLANs, routers).
- Install, configure and troubleshoot devices in the network (workstations, servers, routers)
- Solve problems individually and in a team environment.
