Program Outcomes

Printing and Publishing, 10-204-1

The following have been identified as Program Outcomes for the Printing & Publishing (AAA) Program at Madison Area Technical College:

1. Plan and produce for four offset color printed materials.
2. Perform traditional and digital prepress functions necessary to produce proofs and plates in an electronic/film based/computer-to-plate work environment for four offset color work.
3. Perform prepress process to position and organize elements for a publication.
4. Setup, operate, and maintain various offset printing presses to accomplish four offset color work.
5. Setup, operate, and maintain various bindery and finishing equipment relative to custom orders.
6. Work as a cooperative team member.
7. Demonstrate reliable and ethical behavior including, but not limited to, assuming responsibility for decisions, actions, professional growth, and displaying initiative and time management skills.
8. Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal communications to customers, coworkers and supervisors.
