The U.S. Department of Labor predicts that jobs for marketing professionals can grow as much as 23 percent by 2010! In a recent survey by the Institute for International Research, marketing was the #1 most critical area of expertise for the next generation of business leaders (cited by 31% as the business skill of the future.) Marketing is critical to the success of every organization — whether large or small, profit or nonprofit, product- or service-oriented. All organizations must identify and research target markets; determine customer needs; and establish how products and services can most effectively be created, distributed, priced and promoted. Graduates of this dynamic program have found a variety of positions including inside and outside sales representatives, store managers, promotion assistants, marketing and sales managers, market researchers, account executives and advertising and marketing coordinators.

Program outcomes state what a graduate needs to be able to do with the essential knowledge, attitudes, skills, and behaviors acquired in a specific MATC program. The program outcomes communicate expectations to students, as well as other academic institutions and potential employers. The identification and assessment of program outcomes support MATC's efforts in documenting student learning and provide a context for the faculty's academic planning.
