WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES IN THE NURSING PROGRAMS?

Nursing Assistant

120 hour course

Work in hospitals or nursing homes to provide basic hygiene and safety needs. See for more information. Pay:$10-12/hr

Practical Nursing

1 year program

Work in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, and home care to provide for wider range of nursing needs. Pay: $14-16/hr

Associate Degree Nursing

2 year program

Work in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, and home care to plan, provide, direct, and evaluate nursing needs. Pay: $20-25/hr

HOW LONG IS THE WAITING LIST? Waiting lists change all the time. These responses are current estimates only.

Nursing Assistant

Waiting lists sometimes form for individual classes, but are not carried over to the next semester.

Registration can be done via Touch-Tone, online through "Inside MATC" or in person at any of our campuses.

All arts & science courses may be taken before starting nursing courses, however the A&P I, A&P II and microbiology must be taken prior to acceptance into the program.
