About the Program
The Associate of Arts Degree in Animation – Concept Development offers courses in traditional and digital presentation and manipulation of graphic elements necessary for the acquisition of skills in Animation – Concept Development. The program assists students in developing a broad foundation of skills and knowledge in animation addressing such topics as: introduction, intermediate and advanced animation, drawing fundamentals, design and color, digital 3D, illustrative figure drawing, digital cinematography, level and set design, digital post-production, and the opportunity for a 3D animation internship and production of an animation demo-reel and portfolio.
Program outcomes state what a graduate needs to be able to do with the essential knowledge, attitudes, skills, and behaviors acquired in a specific MATC program. The program outcomes communicate expectations to students, as well as other academic institutions and potential employers. The identification and assessment of program outcomes support MATC's efforts in documenting student learning and provide a context for the faculty's academic planning.
