About Online Delivery

The MATC and eTech College of Wisconsin offer learners the opportunity to complete all or part of the Supervisory Management program online. Frequently Asked Questions:

What if I have never taken an online course?
There are several expectations of online learning. Students need to be self-motivated, independent and have a basic knowledge in computer operations such as keyboarding, sending and receiving emails and surfing the internet. For more information about online learning, refer to “Are you an Online Learner?

Do I need to sit down at my computer the same time each day?
Adult learners have a variety of conflicting work and family obligations. Each student will have a time that works better for him or her each day. Learners can participate at any time or location that works for them. You have access to the class seven days a week, 24 hours each day.

Wouldn’t it be better to have a real time discussion, just like a more traditional face-to-face classroom?
An advantage of online learning is that students don’t have to raise their hand or interrupt someone to speak. Comments can be prepared off-line and then submitted to form a discussion string. Students then have time to read comments, prepare their response off-line and then submit them to the discussion board.
