About Online Learning

If you are enrolled, or considering enrolling, in an MATC online course or program, this is the place to start. Familiarize yourself with topics such as Technical Requirements, Are you an Online Learner? and Frequently Asked Questions. Students who are enrolled in one or more online courses in the upcoming semester should review these topics, especially the Blackboard tutorial, before the semester begins.

MATC offers courses and programs on the Internet and is a leading participant in the eTech College of Wisconsin,  a statewide consortium providing Wisconsin students access to high quality learning opportunities 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The number of online offerings at MATC is growing rapidly to meet the needs of our learners.

About Online Learning

Optometric Technician Program Students“I love the online learning. It is so much easier for me than to have to physically go to a classroom at a certain time. I love the fact that I can pick the times to go to school and rearrange the times at a moments notice if I need to… I’m a little ashamed to admit that online learning was much tougher than I had anticipated. It’s not that I thought it would be gravy, but even I was skeptical at the validity of web-based study… I type letters for the doctor and I’m tickled to finally understand what I’m writing, both in meaning and in spelling…”
- A student, while taking Ocular Anatomy in the Online Optometric Technician Program.
