Piano with Nancy Wynn
Nancy Wynn, new piano instructor for MATC ACE, is a graduate of Mt. Mary College,
Milwaukee with a B.A. in music and a major in piano and organ. She taught vocal
music, piano and organ in Milwaukee private schools while working on her master's
degree at the Wisconsin Conservatory. After receiving her M.M. she taught music at the
H. S. and junior college levels in Mequon and Milwaukee. She later opened her own
music studio, had two associate teachers and over 100 private students between them.
After 20 years as a music teacher, Nancy completed a masters degree in ED PSYCH/Counseling at UWM and began counseling for a Christian ministry in Wisconsin and then in Colorado. She continued to teach piano and choirs on the side during her years as a counselor.

Now retired from counseling, Nancy teaches private piano students at her southwest-side studio and begins teaching piano classes this summer for MATC.
In the ACE piano courses, Nancy will focus not only on teaching correct notes and rhythm, but also on producing a pleasant tone and paying special attention to phrasing and dynamics. She shares "how to practice" tips, and special attention will be given to technique for individual needs.
In the intermediate and advanced courses, simultaneous study of music from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Modern eras will be encouraged.
Keyboard chording, a fun way to play many kinds of pop music, will be covered at all levels.
