The Stoughton Area Senior Center, a City of Stoughton department, provides a facility to individuals over 55 years of age and their families.  The Senior Center provides a variety of programs, services and opportuntities to serve many interests.

The MATC Adult and Continuing Education offerings at Stoughton Senior Center include woodcarving, chair caning, hardanger, knitting, and language classes such as Norwegian.

Woodcarving is a hands-on class will give students a basic knowledge of different knives, woods, and finishes; students will develop, sketch, or transfer a picture or mental image to wood. The chair caning course helps students repair and restore new and antique cane chairs. Hardanger embroidery is the ethnic thread count stitchery of Norway, and the Stoughton senior center courses welcome students of any skill level.

Students age 62 and over receive a discount on most MATC courses.
