MATC ACE offers classes in sewing, drapery, alterations, knitting, sergers, and Navajo rug weaving at Dale Heights Presbyterian Church, conveniently located on Madison's west side.
MATC classes are conducted in the sewing area in the lower level; both an elevator and a chair lift are available to students who need assistance with the stairs (as shown below and left).
This facility has a state-of-the-art sewing lab with excellent sewing machines, sergers, and work areas for sewing and drapery classes.
Below and left is an example of a loom for Navajo rug weaving. At right are Joan Gerhards (former instructor) and Trish Pulvermacher, who teaches many of the ACE sewing classes. Other instructors at this location are Fran Potter, Doreen Forcier, Denise Halada, and Carol Krueger.
