Check out the Technology Training opportunities for the fall semester by clicking on http://matcmadison.edu/hr/techtraining. All classes now have required registration at that site. All classes will meet at Truax in 220C unless otherwise stated. Open lab (an opportunity to ask Irene questions) sessions do not require registration. Contact Irene Rauwald, 243-4380, for personal "Guide at Your Side" sessions or if you have questions. Please register at least five working days before the class. PACE Survey Extension
Due to Thursday's college closing, and the fact that some MATC staff have not yet had an opportunity to complete the PACE Survey, we are extending the deadline for completion to 5:00 p.m. on Friday January 14, 2005.If you have a PACE survey and haven't yet turned it in, please complete and return it in an inter-departmental envelope to the Research and Planning Dept. / Downtown.
If you don't have a PACE survey, copies are available at:
1) The Truax administration building front reception desk;
2) The Truax library at the reference desk;
3) Regional campuses at Campus Administrators' offices; and
4) The Research and Planning office (D411-Downtown).Please take 15-30 minutes to respond to this important survey!

Franklin University Regional Director on Campus
Franklin University Regional Director, Bob Morris, will be at Madison Area Technical College's (MATC) - Truax campus to discuss the Community College Alliance (CCA) program with MATC students. On Tuesday, January 11, he will be meeting students in the Cafeteria from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Other times are available by appointment by contacting Bob at morrisb@franklin.edu or calling 1-888-341-6237, ext. 6203. Free Vision Screening Available on Wednesdays
Call today for an appointment! 246-6557The Optometric Technician Program offers a free vision screening for students, staff, family and friends. Some of the tests included are: glaucoma screening, visual acuity measurement, color and depth perception test, and blood pressure screening. The optometric technician student will review the screening results and provide the patient with eye care recommendations. This screening is to determine whether further eye care is necessary, you will not receive a current eye glass or contact lens prescription. This is a free service, but an appointment is necessary.
