The optical dispensary in room 314 will be opening for services on Friday, January 23. Hours will be Tuesdays 12:30 to 2:20 and Fridays 11:30 to 3:20. Students and staff of MATC are invited to come and check out the large selection of dress and safety glasses available. We have the latest in eyewear fashion and lens materials all at a significant cost savings. When ordering glasses, you must bring with you a copy of your current prescription (not more than 2 years old). We also provide adjustments and minor eyeglass repairs at no cost. To assure that a student technician is available when you come in we strongly recommend calling 246-6272 for an appointment.
Happy New Year and Welcome Back from the Bursar's Office! Help your students start the New Year out right by securing their classes at the Bursar's office. Classes are secured by making payment in full, or for those who are eligible, activating the Tuition Deferment Payment Plan. To be eligible for the Tuition Deferment Payment Plan, the student must be enrolled in 6 or more credits for the semester and must activate the plan by signing the Tuition Deferment Agreement Form and paying $100.00. Of the $100.00, $75.00 will go to the tuition balance, while $25.00 is a non-refundable application fee. The tuition balance is deferred to February 10 and is due in full on that date. If you are interested in learning more about the Tuition Deferment Agreement, please contact the Bursar's office at (608)246-6308. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE LAST DAY TO ACTIVATE A TUITION DEFERMENT PAYMENT PLAN THIS SEMESTER IS JANUARY 16.
Visit the Transportation Options display in the cafeteria Jan. 12 and 13. If you would like to check out your transportation alternatives for commuting to MATC and home the Rideshare Etc. service can help. Call 266-RIDE (7433), or go to: http://cityofmadison.com/rideshare/ to request a search of options, at no charge or obligation. Ride matching, vanpool route information, Madison Metro schedules, and bike path information is included. Most commuters can save over $1,000/yr.
As an enhancement, participants can receive incentives like guaranteed ride home vouchers, which support participating commuters with taxi service in case of an emergency, and use of the Beltline carpool lanes. The goal of the program is to reduce congestion, emissions, and costs. Why not see if there's a good option for you?
