General Information

Stop in the Truax Bookstore, Nov. 10 thru the 14th, to save 25% off all clothing. Store hours are Mon.-Thurs. 7:30am to 7pm and Fri. 7:30am to 5pm.

Mid-Year (December) Graduation: Letters to potential graduates were mailed on November 10.  If a student has not received the letter and expects to graduate this December have him/her contact their divisional office prior to November 24. 

Free Car Care Clinic Hosted by the MATC Automotive Club
MATC's Automotive Club will hold a free Car Care Clinic at its Truax Campus, 3550 Anderson Street, Center Court  on November 15 from 9am to 2pm in exchange for a donation of a non-perishable food item to be given to a local food pantry.  The clinic will be open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. In preparation for winter, belts, hoses, wipers, brakes, cooling system and other key parts will be checked and fluids topped off. The vehicles owners will be advised of any mechanical problems found so repairs can be scheduled elsewhere.  Repairs will not be made as part of the clinic.  The inspections are expected to last approximately 20 minutes.

The event will be held on Tuesday, November 18 in Room142 C of the Truax Campus. Registration and program fair will be held from 5:30-6:00 pm and the event is 6:00-8:30 pm. Attendees will learn about career options, salary and advancement opportunities. They will be able to participate in hands-on demonstrations and talk to MATC alumni working in the field. SECURITY SERVICES ANNOUNCEMENT
What
: Truax Van Shuttle
When: Monday Through Friday-- 6:30pm until 10:30pm. The shuttle will pick up every half hour at the shuttle stop.
Where: The van shuttle stop is located just outside of the doors by the Mitby Theater.
Once again Wisconsin's winter is upon us with the unpredictable weather and early darkness. To help you avoid the long cold dark walk to your car the MATC Dept of Security Services Staff will be running the winter van shuttle until March, 2004. You can access the van at the shuttle stop or flag the van down in the parking lot. The van will have clearly marked signs indicating MATC Security Shuttle on each door and a flashing yellow light. The staff operating the van will be uniformed MATC Student Security Officers who will take you to or from your vehicle. They will drop you at your vehicle located in any of the MATC parking lots around the Truax Campus.

Purchase a 32oz fountain soda at the Truax Cafeteria and you could win a bike from Williamson St. Bicycle Shop. If you purchase a 20oz beverage at the DTEC Cafeteria you could win a DVD player. This promotion will run until Thanksgiving.

Global Horizons Distinguished Lecture Series Fall 2003: Focus on the Middle East
Through December 5 the MATC Global Horizons Lecture Series will offer a series of programs exploring the people, culture, politics and religions of the Middle East. In addition to proving a historical and political perspective on conflict areas such as Iraq, Afghanistan and Israel, the series also hopes to introduce students, staff and the community to music, arts, films, food and other expressions of culture from the diverse peoples of the region. All events are free and open to the public Everyone is invited to attend. Following is a schedule of the events planned.
