MATC to Host Lech Walesa as Keynote Speaker at International Peacekeeping
Conference
MATC will host Lech Walesa, Nobel Peace prize laureate and the former
president of Poland, and other notable speakers during the Wisconsin Institute
of Peace and Conflict Studies' Oct. 24-26 "International Peacekeeping
and Peacemaking: A Time of Crisis, A Time for Hope" conference. Walesa
opens the conference Oct. 24 with a 7 p.m. keynote address in the MATC
Mitby Theater at Truax, 3550 Anderson Street in Madison. see

Appearance of Best Selling Author Tom Peters
Madison Area Technical College
will host the first Madison appearance of best selling author Tom Peters
on Thursday, October 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Madison Marriott
West, 1313 John Q. Hammons Drive in Middleton. Peters will present
"From Excellence to WOW: Reinventing the Rules for the Brand New
Workplace."This program will help employees create an "action
plan for survival" in a business world where the rules and challenges
