MATC District Board
Sets 2001-02 Property Tax Levy,
Student Senate Presents Priorities and Technology Report Approved
At its October 24
meeting, the Madison Area Technical College (MATC) District Board voted
to levy a combined operations and debt service property tax levy of $59,242,763.
The board established a mill rate of 1.40973, a decrease of 3.89% from
last year's mill rate of 1.46680. For each $100,000 of value, property
owners will pay approximately $140.97, or $5.71 less than last year, to
support MATC. see

Seminar Profiles Protective Services Careers: Police,
Fire and Paramedic Careers Featured
We count on them
being there in times of need. Police, fire and paramedic professionals
are vital members of our communities. Madison Area Technical College (MATC)
will focus on these careers in an upcoming Career Snapshots Seminar to
be held on Tuesday, October 23. The free seminar will be held at the MATC-Commercial
Avenue Education Center located at 2125 Commercial Avenue in Madison from
6-8 pm. As part of the event, a panel discussion entitled, "Women
