The Volunteer Center at MATC has committed annually to giving to the Atwood Community Center during Thanksgiving.

This year the Atwood Center's donations are low, and they aren't sure if they will be able to meet the need due to a lack of donations. Traditionally, the Center provides over 1,250 community families with a Thanksgiving dinner.

Last year, MATC contributed over 1,000 items. Please stop by the grocery store on your way home tonight or clean out your cupboards and bring donations in tomorrow and place them in the barrels outside Student Life at DTEC and Truax. Or pluck a feather from Turkey Tom and return the feather with the items listed.

The Atwood Community Center is committed to providing a complete Thanksgiving Meal to 1,250 families. We are in need of the following donations:

• stuffing mix
• gravy mix
• canned yams
• pie crust mix
• cranberry sauce
• canned fruit
• canned vegetables
• pumpkin pie mix
• jello
