Volunteer Ushers Needed! Show Choir Event Dec. 3!

MATC Community Show Choir and the MATC Municipal Band will perform holiday song favorites at the MATC Annual Holiday Concert on Sunday, December 3, at 2 p.m. The show is held in the Mitby Theater, MATC-Truax, 3550 Anderson St.

Ushers would need to report to the East Lobby at 1 pm. Training is provided, all ages are welcome for this concert. Please call 246-6546 for more details or to sign up.

Founded in 1980, the MATC Community Show Choir presents concerts of popular music in the fall and spring of each year. The choir has performed at New York's Lincoln Center as part of Irving Berlin's 100th birthday concert and for Pope John Paul while on a tour of Italy and Poland. Regionally, the choir performed for the opening of the Monona Terrace Convention Center in Madison, at the Wisconsin State Fair in Milwaukee and at the Wisconsin State Capitol.

The Madison Municipal Band has performed year round for more than 50 years for audiences all over the world, most recently toured France, Belgium and Luxemburg. The band includes about 80 members.
