MATC Counseling Services Workshops on Demand Program
12/19/06
submitted by Patricia Molson

Dear MATC Faculty,
As we all gear up for a new semester please keep Counseling Services in mind for students who may be experiencing stress resulting from academic pressures, personal concerns or both. If you believe that any of our students might benefit from some support through talking to someone about such issues, you may choose to make a referral to counseling services. Making an announcement in class concerning the availability of services on campus and referring students to our website, which describes our services, may also be helpful to students. We also offer consultation services to faculty on a variety of student development issues.

Below you will find a list of some of the workshops we offer. However, we have the ability to design a workshop curriculum around your specific needs.

Requesting a workshop is easy:

  • Go to the Counseling Services pages on the MATC website:
  • select “Counseling” in the A-Z drop down
  • select “Courses and Workshops,”
  • under “Workshops” link to the “Counselor Workshop Request Form”
  • complete the request form and allow 10 business days for a response to your request.

“We will make every effort to meet your specific needs at the time and date you request, but if you give us several weeks and can be flexible about the date/time, there is a much greater chance that we can accommodate you.”

We look forward to collaborating with you throughout the semester!
