TAMMY BALDWIN SPEAKS ON WOMEN, POLITICS AND WASHINGTON AT MATC
As part of Madison Area Technical College (MATC)'s celebration of Women's International History Month, Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin will speak on Women, Politics, and Washington on Monday, March 5th at 12:30 pm in the Student Lounge (Room 142C) on the Truax Campus, 3550 Anderson Street. In this presentation, Ms. Baldwin is expected to cover such topics as what it is like to be a representative in Washington; what leadership styles women bring to Congress; key issues for women today; and future political prospects for women. A discussion with a question/answer session will follow. The event is free to the public and is sponsored by the MATC WomenÕs Studies Committee.

MATC is one of the largest of the Wisconsin Technical College System's 16 colleges. It provides a comprehensive curriculum of technical, liberal arts and science, adult basic education and life enrichment studies and activities, as well as customized employee training. MATC provides training in more than 100 career programs. It awards associate degrees, vocational diplomas and certificates, and offers non-degree courses. The college serves all or parts of 12 counties located in southcentral Wisconsin and offers instruction through five campuses and various other locations throughout the district.
