MATC First to Host New PeopleSoft 8 Internet Product Preview
Madison Area Technical College (MATC) was selected to host the first preview of PeopleSoft’s new pure internet eBusiness software product. On Wednesday, June 13, about ten PeopleSoft officials visited MATC’s Truax Campus, 3550 Anderson Street, to hold the first of the corporation’s “roadshows” for PeopleSoft 8, the pure internet architecture version of its college and university enterprise resource planning software modules. see press release

MATC District Board Approves 2001-2002 Budget
The Madison Area Technical College (MATC) District Board voted at its June 11 meeting to adopt the 2001-2002 fiscal year budget for the college. The approval follows a public hearing held May 9. The budget of $128,213,568 includes an estimated mill rate of 1.45656, which means that for every $100,000 in assessed property value, district property owners will pay $145.66 in taxes to support MATC. Last year, property owners paid $146.68 for every $100,000 in assessed value. see press release

MATC VP Appointed President of Kentucky Community College
Augusta A. Julian, vice president of Institutional Advancement at Madison Area Technical College (MATC), has been appointed president of Maysville Community College located in northeastern Kentucky. Julian, 49, who has held her position at MATC for ten years, also will serve as chief executive officer of the Maysville Community and Technical College District (MCTCD), which includes the two campuses of Maysville Community College and Rowan Technical College. The MCTCD serves approximately 2,000 students annually and offers associate degrees, diplomas and certificates. see press release
