COUNSELORS AND
TEACHERS FROM ACROSS THE STATE EXPLORE CAREER OPPORTUNITIES AT MATC
Forty-three dedicated

provide these professionals with information on careers in the culinary
and leisure services fields. This one-credit course, held in conjunction
with the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, will better prepare these
school personnel to advise their students on potential careers.
The four-day program
provided workshops and tours. Participants were able to explore topics
such as lodging, recreation, travel, food service, culinary arts and baking/pastry
arts. Participants were able to visit the Cherokee Country Club; Prairie
Athletic Health Club; Madison East YMCA; Dane County Parks; Mansion Hill
Inn; Concourse Hotel; Hilton Hotel; Monona Terrace; Fluno Center; Timber
Lodge Steakhouse; Wisconsin Restaurant Association; Wisconsin Dells; and
