Seminar Profiles In-Demand Health Careers
Millions of people
need help performing basic life functions such as breathing, eating, grooming
and getting dressed. They rely on the care of health professionals such
as respiratory care practitioners and occupational therapy assistants
to help them with these and many other vital functions. As the age of
the population, including baby boomers, increases, so is the expected
demand for respiratory care and occupational therapy services. see

Public Invited to Join MATC Community Show Choir
The Madison Area Technical College (MATC) Community Show Choir invites
interested men and women in the Madison area to join the choir for the
upcoming spring season.
The choir meets in the choral rehearsal room (Room 101) on the Truax Campus
every Thursday from 6:30 to 9:30 pm through May 2. Auditions are not necessary
but each choir member is charged a $25 music fee... see

Writing in Place Workshop Takes Students to Italy
Informational Meeting Scheduled for January 24
Madison Area Technical College (MATC) is presenting an informational/pre-registration
meeting for Writing in Place: Italy, a three-credit course planned for
July, 2002. The informational meeting will be held at MATCs Downtown
Education Center, 211 North Carroll Street on Thursday, January 24, from
5:307 pm in Room D125. Course registration is open to the public
and MATC students but is limited to 18 participants. While visiting some
of Italys historic and beautiful landmarks, students in this course
learn practical skills for journaling and enhance creative writing skills
while they earn three college transfer credits... see

MATC Performing Arts Holds Auditions forJekyll & Hyde
Madison Area Technical College Performing Arts TheatreWorks Program
will present staged readings of two original works, Guilty or Not,
Here I Come and Hat Dance in February. Auditions for both works
will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2002, at 7 p.m. Register in the Studio
Theater, room 206, at the MATC Truax Campus, 3550 Anderson Street. Auditions
will be held in two separate rooms.. see
