MORE WOMEN NEEDED IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
MATC HOSTS CAREER EXPO
High technology jobs are in big demand right now, so it might be surprising to learn the number of women in computer information technology careers has actually taken a dip. The Information Technology Association of America (ITAA) says the percentage of women in IT has dropped 21 percent since 1996. MATC TO HOST SISTER COLLEGE FROM GERMANY
It’s the city where the Grimm brothers reportedly wrote their classic fairy tales. Now, a little piece of Marburg, Germany, is coming to Madison Area Technical College. For the past eight years, MATC and its sister college Kathe-Kollwitz-Schule, have participated in an educational exchange program. see media release
