HUNDREDS OF AREA STUDENTS GET JUMP-START ON POLICE, FIRE, EMS CAREERS AT MATC

Usually fire training and diaper changing don’t go together, but nearly 400 high school and   middle school students will get a chance to do both from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, when Madison Area Technical College holds its Human and Protective Services Career Pathways event at 2125 Commercial Avenue.

Students will be able to take part in a number of exciting hands-on activities, including an interactive fire simulator, police fingerprinting and arrest searching, electrocardiogram monitoring, and even diaper changing.

Human and Protective Services includes careers in criminal justice, fire protection and service, emergency medical services, and early childhood education.

For more information about these growing and exciting careers, call 608-246-5888.
