FINALISTS HOPE TO WIN A CAREER FROM MATC
It’s something many of us can only dream about…having our college tuition paid in full. Now that dream of winning a career is coming true for one lucky person.
On Thursday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m., five finalists will compete for the grand prize in Madison Area Technical College’s "Win a Career" contest. The winner gets two years of free tuition valued up to $6,000. Runners-up receive $1,000 worth of MATC tuition towards their career.
The contest will be held at MATC’s Mitby Theater, 3550 Anderson Street. Finalists will be judged on their five-minute video, which showcases why they should receive a free career from MATC.
The exciting day kicks-off at 3 p.m. with MATC’s College Spotlight. Prospective students can learn about the technical college’s 144 degrees, from Biotechnology to the Liberal Arts College Transfer program.
MATC is one of the largest of the Wisconsin Technical College System’s 16 colleges. It offers associate degrees, vocational diplomas and certificates, and non-degree courses in more than 140 programs of study. The college serves all or parts of 12 counties located in south-central Wisconsin and offers instruction at five campuses, Madison, Fort Atkinson, Portage, Reedsburg and Watertown, and numerous community locations throughout the district.
