MATC TO HOLD UNIQUE "CHAIR-ITY" AUCTION
A pink chair lined with white, pink, and red flowers. A green chair with zebra-striped upholstery.
Those are just a few of the unique chairs you’ll see Wednesday, Nov. 7, at Madison Area Technical College’s silent “Chair-ity” auction. It runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in MATC’s Truax Gourmet Dining Room.
The chairs were refurbished and decorated by MATC’s American Society of Interior Designers Student Chapter.
There will also be a live auction of other home furnishings and items.
The entrance fee is $5. Bidding begins at 6 p.m.
The auctions are a great way to get a head start on your holiday shopping, while helping out a good cause at the same time. A portion of the money raised will go to the Atwood Community Center in Madison.
MATC is one of the largest of the Wisconsin Technical College System’s 16 colleges. It offers associate degrees, vocational diplomas and certificates, and non-degree courses in more than 140 programs of study. The college serves all or parts of 12 counties located in south-central Wisconsin and offers instruction at five campuses, Madison, Fort Atkinson, Portage, Reedsburg and Watertown, and numerous community locations throughout the district.
