MATC MATH CLUB CELEBRATES MATHEMATICIAN EULER'S 300TH BIRTHDAY
On Monday, January 29, the Madison Area Technical College (MATC) Math Club will host a lecture and celebration in honor of mathematician Leonhard Euler’s 300th birthday this year. The lecture will be presented by Professor Ranjan Roy of Beloit College. Roy will speak at 3:30 p.m. in Room 209 at Madison Area Technical College’s Truax location, 3550 Anderson St., Madison. The lecture will be followed by a cake-and-ice cream celebration.see media alert

MATC’S THE CLARION STUDENT NEWSPAPER WINS SEVEN NATIONAL AWARDS
The Clarion, Madison Area Technical College’s student newspaper, and its staff received seven awards at the Associated Collegiate Press National College Media Convention held in Kansas City in late Fall.
The Clarion was awarded the Online Pacemaker Finalist Award for its website. see news release

GEORGE WILLIAMS COLLEGE OF AURORA UNIVERSITY AND MATC–MADISON SIGN ARTICULATION AGREEMENT
WHAT: George Williams College (GWC) of Aurora University and MATC have signed an agreement enabling MATC recreation management students to transfer selected courses to GWC’s bachelor’s degree program in Recreation Administration. see news release
