MATH CLUB KICKS OFF SEMESTER WITH “FACE-OFF”
ANNUAL MIDDLE
SCHOOL MATH COMPETITION AND LECTURE
On Friday, September 29, the Madison Area Technical College
(MATC) Math Club will host “Face Off,” a Jeopardy-style math
competition for area middle school students. The math competition will
begin at 10:30 a.m. and will be preceded at 9 a.m. by a lecture, “Math
is the Language of the Universe,” presented by the UW–Madison
Physics Department. Both events will be held in the college’s Mitby
Theater at the MATC Truax location, 3550 Anderson St., Madison.

middle schools will compete. Event is free and open to
