event, the first to be held during the summer, focusing on
police, fire service and paramedic careers. Whether changing
careers or simply exploring different career options, community
members are encouraged to attend to learn more about these
vital careers.

WHY: |
To help attendees explore careers and educational programs
in protective services. Employment of police and detectives
is expected to increase faster than the average through 2010,
according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
MATC offers two-year
associate degrees in criminal justice, paramedic technician
and fire protection technician, and less-than-one-year diplomas
in criminal justice - law enforcement academy, fire service
certification, emergency medical technician -- basic, IV
tech, intermediate EMT and paramedic. |
