Financial Aid Help is Available
During MATC Financial Aid Awareness Week

Help with applying for college financial aid is available at Madison Area Technical College’s Financial Aid Week, April 11 through 13. Special events and special presentations are planned for all MATC campuses, including Ft. Atkinson, Reedsburg, Portage, Watertown and two locations, Truax and Downtown, on the Madison campus.

A Financial Aid Fair at MATC’s Truax location, 3550 Anderson St. in Madison, will feature MATC enrollment facilitators and representatives from area lenders to help students and their families begin to find their way through the financial aid maze. The event will be held at Truax from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. Participants will have computer access and personal assistance with online financial aid applications, as well as in-person information on grants, loans, scholarships, student employment and admissions.

A special evening session will take place on Tuesday, starting at 5:30 p.m., for all college and high school students and their families. The evening session will include a financial aid panel presentation at 6 p.m. MATC students who complete the financial aid application process before the event concludes Thursday evening, April 13, are eligible to compete for four scholarships of $500. The scholarship drawing will take place on April 17.
