300 Teens Get Hands-On Introduction to Construction
Careers
MATC, MABA & Building Trades Target Youth at Outreach Event
for Home Products Show
WHY: |
We need teens to consider careers in construction
because
- Nearly 1,000,000 new construction jobs are projected
through 2012
- There is a shortage of construction workers now
- Construction
careers are varied, rewarding and challenge the mind and
hands
- On average, students who complete MATC’s apprenticeship
programs earn more than $50,000 per year
