FREE TRAINING
OFFERED TO HELP WISCONSIN BUSINESSES
WIN GOVERNMENT WORK
Wisconsin
entrepreneurs have an opportunity to learn how to sell their products
and services to the government. Two training sessions are offered at Southwest
Wisconsin Technical College in Fennimore, Wisconsin on Tuesday, September
14th. The morning session from 9:00am to noon is geared to the federal
market called Essential Elements of Federal Contracting. The
afternoon session from 1:30pm to 4:30pm, geared to selling to the state
government, is called Selling to the State of Wisconsin. Both
sessions are offered free of charge, but registration is required. Visit
the BPAC on the web
for registration and additional information.
The Essential
Elements of Federal Contracting morning session provides a solid
orientation to the federal procurement environment, especially geared
for those new to contracting. The United States Federal Government is
the largest purchaser of goods and services in the world, so the market
is vast. Attendees will learn how to determine if government contracting
is a good business decision, to identify which federal agencies buy their
goods and services and to focus their research to locate contracting opportunities
targeted to their business.
The Selling
to the State of Wisconsin afternoon session provides a foundation
for contracting with the State of Wisconsin. Attendees will learn how
the state procures the products and services it needs, which agencies
buy what items and services, and understand the use of VendorNet, the
State of Wisconsin's electronic purchasing information systems.
The Business
Procurement Assistance Center (BPAC) at Madison Area Technical College
and Southwest Wisconsin Technical College sponsors these training sessions.
