TECHNICAL COLLEGE TO HOST WISCONSIN
FORWARD AWARD SELF-ASSESSMENT WORKSHOP IN MADISON
Area organizations can begin building a solid foundation
for organizational improvement with a one-day workshop on conducting a
formal organizational self-assessment using a Baldrige-based tool, The
Wisconsin Challenge.
Keith Clark, Wisconsin Forward award examiner, retired John
Deere Six Sigma Black Belt and MATC instructor will lead the interactive
workshop, sponsored by Madison Area Technical College and Wisconsin Forward
Award, Inc. The workshop will be held on Thursday, March 25 at Madison
Area Technical College, T.E.C. Business Center at 3591 Anderson Street,
Madison from 8:45 AM 4:00 PM.
A formal self-assessment process, The Wisconsin Challenge
will start organizations on the journey to continuous improvement. The
self-assessment enables an organization to integrate effective planning
techniques with the data needed to improve business results, integrating
the internationally-recognized Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence
and core values into an organizations business practices. The consensus
decision-making process used in The Wisconsin Challenge helps an enterprise
identify strengths and gaps to improve organizational systems to meet
increasing business challenges and achieve work-class levels of performance
excellence.
The one-day workshop will be interactive, with participants
learning about the WFA/Baldrige Criteria as a holistic management model.
Workshop organizers suggest that organizations send a team of participants
to gain the best value. The workshop should get you started on a thorough
study of your organizations capabilities and performance. The workshop
cost is $195 for the first two registrants from an organization, and $175
for each additional person. Fees include lunch and materials.
