PresentsA Dialogue of Mathematics Educators
Madison
Area Technical College (MATC) will present a workshop for MATC and high
school educators on June 25 titled A Dialogue of Mathematics Educators.
The purpose of the workshop is to develop a common understanding of the
factors that drive high school and college mathematics curriculum and
instructional methods and explore ways of ensuring that graduating high
school students are well prepared for continuing math studies in college.
The workshop
includes perspectives from K-12 and high education mathematics experts,
as well as leaders from the local business community. Among the topics
discussed will be the use of calculators in the classroom.

address by Billie Earl Sparks, UW Eau Claire professor of mathematics
