Hosts Vietnamese New Year Celebration
Madison Area Technical
College (MATC) will host a Vietnamese New Year celebration on Saturday,
February 8, from noon until 11 pm.
The event is organized
by members of the area Vietnamese community and will feature ethnic food,
games, health and education booths, and music and dance performances.
Traditional Vietnamese food will be served starting about noon, followed
by Le Dang Huong, a traditional ceremony at 2 pm that features the dragon
dance. Traditional folk dances, karaoke, a magic show and raffle will
follow the ceremony. The event will break at 5:15 pm for clean up and
set up for a ballroom dance party from 7:30 to 11 pm.

WHO: Open to the public,
hosted by MATC and the Vietnamese community (Admission during the day
is free; donation of $2 for the dance at night.)
