MATC Forms
New Partnership with Microsoft
Madison Area Technical
College (MATC) has formed a new partnership with Microsoft to establish
the college as a Microsoft IT (Information Technology) Academy. The new
Microsoft/MATC partnership will further enhance MATCs ability to
provide timely, cost effective and relevant training solutions for area
IT professionals.
As a Microsoft
IT Academy partner, MATC gains increased access to Microsoft curriculum
materials, software resources and technical support. This agreement enables
MATC to begin offering the Microsoft Certified System Administration (MCSA)
Certificate this fall through the colleges Computer Information
Systems (CIS) Department.
The MCSA certificate
prepares students to complete the MCSA exams leading to certification
as a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator. The certification coursework
includes skill building in the support and management of Windows®
server and client operating systems including Windows XP Professional®
and Windows Server 2003®. In addition, students gain a solid understanding
of computer system hardware and software troubleshooting.
MATC's CIS Department
already is recognized as a leading provider of training opportunities
designed to upgrade the skills of current IT professionals. In addition
to certificates and training for professionals in the field, MATC offers
four associate degree programs for those entering the field.
