Community Show Choir Presents Spring Super Show,
Broadway Salutes Irving Berlin
The Madison
Area Technical College (MATC) Community Show Choir and combined college
choirs from MATC and UWRock County (of Janesville) will perform
selected Broadway show tunes as well as well-known songs by Irving Berlin
at the Spring Super Show on Friday, May 2, at 7:30 p.m. The show is held
in the Mitby Theater, MATCTruax, 3550 Anderson St.see

Culinary Students Win Big at Wisconsin Restaurant Association Student
Culinary Competition
MATC
Culinary students took home Best of Show and Second Best of Show Awards
and a total of 57 medals from the Wisconsin Restaurant Association (WRA)
Student Culinary Competition in March. The competition included 149 students
from throughout the Wisconsin Technical College System.

College Holds Conference for Laid-Off Professionals
Individuals who have been laid-off or are concerned about losing their
jobs can learn strategies to survive and thrive through workplace change.
To help individuals deal with workplace transitions, Madison Area Technical
College (MATC) is hosting What Next? A Conference for Displaced Professionals
on Saturday, April 26, 2003 from 8:30 am 4:30 pm at the MATC Truax

Diesel Tech Students Awarded Scholarships from The Association of Diesel
Specialists
Four students
from Madison Area Technical College (MATC) received scholarships from
the Association of Diesel Specialists (A.D.S.)/Henry and Esther Ortner
Education Foundation for the 2002-2003 school year. The Foundation awarded
23 scholarships nationwide. The scholarship covers half of college annual
tuition up to $500.see

Upper
Iowa Universtiy and MATC Sign New Articulation Agreement To Improve Student
Transfer into Bachelors Degree Programs
Upper Iowa
University (UIU) and Madison Area Technical College (MATC) have signed
a new and significantly expanded articulation agreement. The purpose of
the agreement is to provide seamless transfer for MATC students entering
UIUs Extended University bachelors degree programs. This new
agreement expands the number and subjects of MATC courses that UIU guarantees
it will accept for credit from MATC students. see
