Arts Presents Radiant Source:
The Remarkable Story of Scientist Marie Curie
Madison Area Technical
College (MATC) Performing Arts brings the story of Marie Curie to life
in Radiant Source, a new work by playwright/chemist Holly Walter
Kerby. Staged in the intimate black box Studio Theatre, Radiant Source
dramatizes Marie Curies lifelong effort to do scientific research
despite obstacles she faced as a woman, a Pole, and a widowed, single
mother. Performances are scheduled November 7, 14, 21 at 7:30 pm and November
8, 15, 22 at 2:00 pm & 7:30 pm in Studio Theatre 206 located on the
second floor of the Truax Campus, 3550 Anderson Street.

Vet Techs as Educated, Skilled Professionals
National Veterinary
Technician Week starts Oct. 12 and focuses on the education and skills
required to care for todays animals with this years theme,
Veterinary Technicians . . . Educated, Skilled Professionals.
Madison Area Technical College is the leading local provider of professional
education and training for veterinary technicians and since 1985 has graduated
772 vet techs from its rigorous, two-year associate degree program.

Kicks Off Fire Prevention Month with
Donation of Fire Engine to Madison Area Technical College
Madison Fire Department is kicking off National Fire Prevention Month
by donating a Spartan 1250 gallon 1988 red pumper fire engine to Madison
Area Technical College for use in its fire service education programs.
