Regional
Campus Visits
In addition to the Truax campus, MATC has seven regional campuses to serve students' needs in all areas of the district.
You are welcome to visit one or all of the regional MATC campuses - each campus is positioned to offer the most diverse educational services to the part of the district it serves.
You can, of course, stop by and take a self-tour any time. But, you're also encouraged to give them a call and tell them you're coming. They can gather any information you might need about programs, maps of the campus and answer any initial questions.
The MATC Downtown campus - or DTEC - is located in the heart of Madison, right off the Capitol Square. It's home to several of the health care programs among others, and offers several additional offerings such as adult continuing education, English as a second language (ESL) and high school completion options.
The campus is located in the northwest part of Fort Atkinson, about 30 miles from Madison. Business courses, a criminal justice program and other academic services are just a few of the options offered in Fort Atkinson.
Less than 50 miles from Madison, MATC Portage serves not only Madison residents, but also communities in the northern part of the district. The campus is home to both academic programs (including various business programs as well as college transfer) and certifications in human resources and Microsoft Office.
MATC Reedsburg is nestled among the rural communities in Sauk County, about 60 miles from Madison and 15 miles from Wisconsin Dells. The Reedsburg campus not only offers several of the business programs provided at other campuses, but also certifications in human resources and Website development as well as apprenticeships in the trades.
About half way between Madison and Milwaukee, MATC Watertown serves students looking for coursework in accounting, business health care, automotive, graphic design and more. Full programs as well as courses toward other degrees are available at Watertown.
Our Commercial Avenue campus, located less than 10 minutes from the Truax campus, houses many of MATC's protective services programs such as criminal justice and emergency medical technicians as well as several apprenticeship programs.
The South Madison Community Campus, located on Park Street just north of Hwy 12/18 (the Beltline) in Madison, is home to several of our bilingual programs - such as the Language Interpreter program - and offers several ESL (English as a second language) courses to students.
