Student administration system undergoing upgrade to better serve MATC students

Our student administration system, which stores all student registration, enrollment, academic, and financial records, will be unavailable Friday, June 29 at 4:30 pm through Sunday, July 8. The college will remain open during this period, but our employees will only be able to provide limited assistance if you request information maintained in our student administration computer system.

What Should You Do?

If you need registration-related service or information during this period, we recommend contacting the college starting the week of July 9 when we will be better able to serve you. The types of services that will be “on hold” June 29 through July 8 include:

• Class registration
• Class schedule changes
• Transcript retrieval
• Inquiries regarding the status of admission applications and financial aid processing.

Why Now?

We planned this system transition for early July, when student registration activities typically are not scheduled and we experience our least amount of student activity. Open registration for all degree classes begins on July 24, by which time we will be up and running with our upgraded system so we can serve the thousands of students registering for fall semester classes, which start August 27.

Why Are We Doing This?

We are taking this precautionary measure to ensure the integrity of our student records as we upgrade our computer system so we can offer enhanced web-based services. We have built precautions and testing into this upgrade to ensure a smooth and successful transition with as little stress and disruption as possible for everyone – our students, public, and staff.
