Currently, MATC has a few topic specific listservs:
MATC Chat (CHAT-L@listserv.matcmadison.edu) – A two-way list for sharing information and personal opinions on professional topics and news, health/illness news about employees, and announcements about lost or found personal items, etc.
MATC Sales and Exchange (MATCEXCHANGE-L@listserv.matcmadison.edu) – A two-way list for sharing information on tickets or other items for casual sale or exchange (no 'for-profit' postings permitted).
MATC Health and Wellness Info (HEALTH-WELLNES-INFO-L@listserv.matcmadison.edu) – For receiving the latest information about health and wellness initiatives, newsletters, tips, etc. from the MATC health and wellness coordinator.
Truax Menus (TRUAX-MENUS-L@listserv.matcmadison.edu) – a two-way list for the posting of daily cafeteria or gourmet student menus, food sales and potlucks at Truax.
DTEC Community (DTEC-L@LISTSERV.MATCMADISON.EDU) - two-way list for the posting of events or announcements for the DTEC community. Planned to include cafeteria menus, center events and activities, critical news updates & announcements, fun event and sales by DTEC services (salon, massage clinic, bookstore, etc.)
Currently, MATC also has separate listservs for our faculty and PSRP employees:
Faculty (FACULTY-L@listserv.matcmadison.edu) – a two-way forum for colleagues who are MATC faculty members, including full and part-time teachers, to share information and hold discussions.
PSRP (PSRP-L@listserv.matcmadison.edu) -- a two-way forum for colleagues who are PSRP (Paraprofessional and Support-Related Personnel) staff to share information and hold discussions.
New faculty and PSRP staff automatically are subscribed to their appropriate list. If an employee does not wish to remain subscribed (and thus receive all email messages sent to these lists), he or she may opt out of list membership. For instructions on how to unsubscribe, see the information that follows (How can I unsubscribe from a list?).

To subscribe to the above mailing lists*:
- Send an email to listserv@listserv.matcmadison.edu
- In the message area, type in subscribe, list address, and your name. For example, to subscribe to the MATC Chat mailing list you would type: subscribe CHAT-L Your Name
- Send the message.
*The only listservs to which you cannot subscribe are the lists dedicated to faculty and PSRP staff since all these employees are automatically subscribed to these lists upon employment, and other subscribers are not allowed.

To unsubscribe to any of the above mailing lists.
- Send an email to listserv@listserv.matcmadison.edu
- In the message area, type in unsubscribe, list address, and your
name. For example, to unsubscribe to the MATC Chat mailing list you
would type: unsubscribe chat-l Jane Doe
- Send the message.

Can I create a new listserv for my work team, club or interest group?
Yes, in order to create a new listserv, you should determine the name and a description of the list. Contact the helpdesk at 246-6666 and make your request. You should specificy if you want the list to be “one way” or “two way.” The Listserv administrator will then create your list and/or contact you for additional information. Once the administrator has created the list, you can invite employees to subscribe to the list. back to top
