RE: SUMMER CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS
DATE: TUESDAY, MAY 16, 2006
In the upcoming months, the Truax Campus, Fort Atkinson Campus, and Portage Campus will undergo some major heating, ventilating, and air conditioning projects. Some classes have been relocated during this process as ventilation will not be available in those areas. Limited details about these projects are listed below.
Truax Campus
As part of the on going IAQ remediation process, specific air handling equipment will be replaced on second and third floors this summer. Energy saving features have also been included as part of this project. Specific areas affected by this work will include second floor "A" block (AH-10), third floor "A" block (AH-14), and third floor "B" block (AH-13). Temporary ventilation will be provided for a limited number of spaces to accommodate classes that could not be moved. Demolition is scheduled to begin June 12, 2006 - Project completion will be August 11, 2006
Fort Atkinson Campus
Boilers are being replaced with energy efficient units and the air handling unit serving the North classrooms and offices will be replaced. The air handling unit is being replaced to improve indoor air quality and provide air conditioning to a classroom which currently does not have it. - Demolition is scheduled to begin May 22, 2006 - Project completion will be August 18, 2006
Portage Campus
The boiler is being replaced with multiple units to provide greater reliability and higher energy efficiency. It is not expected that this work will affect building occupants. - Demolition is scheduled to begin in June 2006. - Project completion will be August 18, 2006
