RE: AVIAN FLU/PANDEMIC FLU INFORMATION

Avian (bird) Flu and the threat of a Pandemic Flu is a current topic of concern raised at all levels, including at the national, local and individual (family) levels.

There are no cases of bird flu in the U.S. at this time and no imminent threat to Wisconsin. The WI Dep¹t of Family & Health Services is actively monitoring for human cases in Wisconsin and will respond, if necessary. For more info: matcmadison.edu/facilities/ehs/

MATC recognizes the need for the District, and of individuals, to prepare for any threat of Avian Influenza or a pandemic influenza in general. Go to our website to find current information about the avian (bird) flu and pandemic flu. There you will find information about preparations that are being made at MATC, links to other resources, and most importantly, what individuals can do to help prepare themselves and their families for potential events.
