About Strategic Advancement
Strategic Advancement, a recently reorganized area of the college provides services to move the college into its strategic future. It brings together the units of the college that advance the college through marketing, enrollment development, communication, and public relations as well as through increased relationships and funding sources from grants, foundation, and alumni. It coordinates college strategies through AQIP, continuous improvement, institutional effectiveness and research as well as seeking performance excellence through its human resources.
Becky Baumbach, the Vice President of Strategic Advancement provides the visionary leadership for this area's functions as well as provides oversight to the college's strategic planning, performance monitoring, and accreditation processes. |

Mission Statement
Strategic Advancement provides services to Madison Area Technical College that advance the college mission through partnerships, funding, marketing and communications while leading college strategy through its planning, continuous improvement and human resource systems.

The Vice President is responsible for visionary leadership of the college's planning, research, institutional effectiveness, program/service evaluation, public relations, institutional marketing, grants and foundation functions. The position manages the strategic planning processes of the college under the direction of the President and ensures that college processes and procedures are in alignment with learning college principles. In addition, the position provides coaching, mentoring, and facilitation of team participation for all staff in the Strategic Advancement department.
