Program Outcomes
Program outcomes state what a graduate needs to be able to do with the essential knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors acquired in the program. The identification and assessment of program outcomes support MATC’s efforts in documenting student learning and provide a context for the faculty’s academic planning. Clear program outcome statements can communicate expectations to students, as well as other academic institutions and potential employers. For more information on program outcomes, see Developing or Reviewing Program Outcomes.
Classroom
Assessment Techniques
MATC supports
and encourages the use of classroom assessment techniques by instructors.
What are Classroom Assessment Techniques (CATs)?
Classroom assessment is the process of using classroom activities and
experiments to obtain information on student learning, which is used
to provide feedback to students and to make adjustments in instruction
to improve learning. Learn more about MATC resources to support classroom
assessment by accessing the resources listed below:

Assessment
Advisory Team
This team concept is under development. The primary focus of the Assessment
Advisory Team is developing, coordinating and providing a forum for sharing
assessment practices and information throughout the college. Team members will
be liaisons from all areas of MATC to assure that assessment is a collaborative
effort. This team will serve as a sounding board for new and innovative assessment
ideas, techniques and plans.
